McCall Architecture designed the complete renovation and repair of Building 580 which was originally built in the 1980s.  The existing three-story structure included suites with two bedrooms, two half-baths and one shared tub/shower.

The new design, which is rated LEED Gold, features bedroom suites complete with living room, dining room, kitchen and private bath for each bedroom. The interior renovation work included complete system upgrades for mechanical, electrical and lighting. The exterior renovation work included structural repair, upgrade of all windows, and replacement of all balcony guardrails and handrails. Solar hot water and geothermal ground sourced heat pump HVAC were also included in the design work.
