As a part of the Design/Build team, McCall was tasked with producing a design which would transform this historic 1939 building into a state-of-the-art wellness center for ABAC, while maintaining its historic nature and character.

Renovation efforts included bringing the facility into compliance with ADA accessibility requirements by adding an elevator, renovating toilet rooms and re-working entrances/exits.

The project also included renovation of the front covered walks and rotunda, replacement of the adjacent pool, and upgrading of the adjacent site with brick walks, site lighting, landscaping and irrigation consistent with other existing site development.

All masonry and masonry openings were cleaned and restored, and the existing floor plan configuration was maintained. Existing damaged balconies were replaced and now meet ADA requirements.

Windows were also replaced with historically accurate windows where feasible.
