ABAC Athletic Complex
McCall Architecture worked with ABAC to design an Athletic Complex to meet the needs of its increasing enrollment. This Complex includes the Red Hill Athletic Center, a 6,500 sf facility which is located next to the ABAC Tennis Center and includes offices and dressing rooms for softball, baseball, and tennis, as well as an athletic training room. This facility is named for former tennis coach and athletics director, Norman “Red” Hill. During the construction of this portion of the Athletic Complex, lighting was also added to the baseball and softball fields through a change order requested by the Owner.
The construction of the Red Hill Athletic Center was followed by the installation of an NCAA regulation soccer field, an intramural soccer field, an intramural softball field, a walking track, a press box, bleachers and parking.
The design also includes a future field house. The entire complex features new turf and irrigation systems.
