101 Bed Nursing Home Addition to Appling Healthcare System
Our work included two separate but related projects for the Appling Healthcare System campus to be constructed successively.
The first project was the addition of The Pavilion, a 101-bed skilled nursing facility. The roughly 71,000 square foot addition was designed as a long-term care facility and includes centralized food service operation which serves the skilled nursing facility as well as the hospital.
Once the new skilled nursing facility was completed, construction commenced on the second project which included the renovation of hospital’s former nursing home to create Appling Healthcare System’s Senior Care Unit. This geriatric behavioral health unit is a secure 15-bed memory care facility specializing in the treatment of Alzheimer’s, dementia, memory problems, anxiety, etc.
